This is a Zambian registered club, 'promoting the importance of the indigenous tree preservation.' This is quite an active group of naturalists that meets once a month to take a walk through the woodlands around Lusaka.

The group is usually led by Quentin Allen or Berry English - the founders of the society. Tree walks lead by our experts are bookable and you can contact them through their Facebook page.

BirdWatch Zambia, is a membership-based environmental NGO established in 1969 and is a member of the International Birdwatch Network. This group of ornothologists has an active Whatsapp group where they share sightings. They also meet regularly for walks around Lusaka and organise group tours to popular birding spots in Zambia.

This club is the oldest garden club in Lusaka, and is made up of a diverse group of people coming together sharing a common passion for plants. The club maintains a space through which members can sell plants, at the Lusaka Showgrounds where they hold meetings. They regularly meet to visit each others gardens or local nurseries.

During the week plants are available at the shop for sale and there is also a craft shop nearby so you can pick up a few goodies to keep your fingers busy.

This is an organic produce shop that promotes local farmers who have chosen to grow organic and non-GMO certified products. It's the place to visit if you are interested in whole foods, or want to find out more eco-friendly products, such as home composting kit, honey production, local recipes and indigenous plants. Once a month they hold a 'Green Gathering' Saturday market and have a presentation on sustainable lifestyles.
